1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LoCommos website, iOS application, membership community, events, groups, messaging features, and related services (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Membership and Eligibility
LoCommos is designed primarily for founders, investors, executives, and other approved professionals in the UAE and GCC. You must provide accurate information, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and satisfy any eligibility requirements communicated during the application process.
3. Application and Approval Process
Membership is not automatic. LoCommos may review professional information, application responses, referrals, publicly available information, and other relevant context. We may approve, decline, defer, suspend, or revoke membership at our reasonable discretion in order to protect the quality, trust, safety, and purpose of the community.
4. User Conduct and Community Standards
Members must act professionally, respectfully, and lawfully. Harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, spam, deceptive conduct, impersonation, unauthorised solicitation, misuse of personal information, and conduct that undermines the trust or safety of the community are prohibited.
5. Content Guidelines
You are responsible for content you submit, including profile information, messages, posts, comments, photographs, event materials, and other uploads. Content must be accurate where presented as fact, lawful, respectful, and must not infringe privacy, intellectual-property, confidentiality, or other rights. LoCommos may moderate or remove content that violates these Terms or community standards.
6. Intellectual Property
The LoCommos name, branding, software, interface, design, databases, and original materials are owned by or licensed to LoCommos / BrackTech. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the Services for their intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant LoCommos a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, and display it as necessary to operate and promote the Services.
7. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
LoCommos provides a community platform and does not guarantee business outcomes, investments, introductions, event results, member conduct, or the accuracy of information provided by other users. Members are responsible for their own decisions, due diligence, communications, and transactions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LoCommos is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-opportunity damages arising from use of the Services.
9. Termination of Membership
You may stop using the Services at any time. LoCommos may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a breach of these Terms, safety concerns, unlawful conduct, misuse, non-payment of applicable fees, reputational risk, or conduct inconsistent with the purpose of the community. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination will remain effective.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Subject to any mandatory rights or procedures, the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Services.
